Self-service machines is when the business allows the customer to run the items through the register personally and pay without the intervention of the staff. Self-service machines is often seen in bank, soft drink machines and others where customers do it personally, but it is also seen in stores around the country as well.
In my opinion, sometimes I feel like interact with self-services machines is more comfortable than interact with people. Why I said this because, sometimes people doesn’t act much on what people feels and being impolite to others, example when we deal with the person at the counter such as cashier or banker, sometimes they don’t even smile to the customer and they didn’t greet people politely when they not in a good mood, this situation made people feels upset to deal with them. In the other hand, when we interact with self-services machines, we just follow the instruction and do it with ourself and this will save our time, furthermore the longer the line in a store, the lower the customer satisfaction. Having self-service options opens up new lanes and prevents the customer from waiting for service. Interact with self-services machines also help people to be independent and be ready, it is because they have to do it by themself. Interact with self-services machines also help people to increase their knowledge and skills in technology. In conclusion, in borderless world we should act fast and be alert on everythings around us, so self-services machines is one of the best way to interact wih.
